Cancer Patient Support Group - Mondays Time 1:00 PM

This support group is open to anyone with a current or recent cancer diagnosis. In this group, we will provide a safe space to explore what cancer means in your life and in return you will find a community of individuals who will stand with you and who understand your story because they have lived it. The primary focus of this group is to support your emotional and social needs as we strive to be there for one another throughout the challenges of cancer.

A brief interview is required to determine appropriate group placement. Please call (602) 712-1006 or email info@cscaz.org to schedule the interview before registering.

      CSA Produce Pick Up Time 4:00 PM Location Main Campus We've become a pick-up site for people to have more access to fresh,organic, locally grown fruits and vegetables from Crooked Sky Farms. Current participants are welcome to sign up to receive free produce as part of a give-back program through Crooked Sky Farms.       Bereavement Support Group Time 6:00 PM Location Main Campus This six-week support group is for those whose family member or close friend has died from cancer in the past two years. Facilitated by a licensed mental health professional, the group will cover stages of loss, reactions to grief, and how to deal with anniversaries and other occasions. She graduated from Arizona State University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and from Northern Arizona University in 2011 with a Master of Arts in Counseling. Linda spent several years working in community mental health before starting her own therapy practice in 2019, Therapy Girl LLC. Linda specializes in trauma, anxiety, grief, and in working with the Latinx community, activists and community leaders.

                                Meet our Facilitator: Linda Ruvalcaba, MA, LPC (she/her/ella) is a proud Chicana and Bilingual Psychotherapist from Phoenix, Arizona. She graduated from Arizona State University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and from Northern Arizona University in 2011 with a Master of Arts in Counseling. Linda spent several years working in community mental health before starting her own therapy practice in 2019, Therapy Girl LLC. Linda specializes in trauma, anxiety, grief, and in working with the Latinx community, activists and community leaders.

In this group, we will provide a safe space to explore what cancer means in your life and in return you will find a community of individuals who will stand with you and who understand your story because they have lived it. The primary focus of this group is to support your emotional and social needs as we strive to be there for one another throughout the challenges of cancer.

                                                  Please join this monthly group for a supportive discussion and education regarding living with Multiple Myeloma. Learn about treatment options, side effect management and survivorship. This is a time to share information and experiences and on occasion learn from medical experts. Those supporting a loved one with Multiple Myeloma are also welcome.

                                                  Meet our Facilitator: Linda Ruvalcaba, MA, LPC (she/her/ella) is a proud Chicana and Bilingual Psychotherapist from Phoenix, Arizona. She graduated from Arizona State University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and from Northern Arizona University in 2011 with a Master of Arts in Counseling. Linda spent several years working in community mental health before starting her own therapy practice in 2019, Therapy Girl LLC. Linda specializes in trauma, anxiety, grief, and in working with the Latinx community, activists and community leaders.
