Healthy Cooking is a multi-generational program, offered simultaneously in English and Spanish at CSCAZ's downtown Phoenix campus and taught by Bilingual Community Health Educator Violet Romero, RD.
You will learn about food groups, portion control, understanding nutrition labels, chronic disease awareness, mental health, and more. Along with this educational demo; ingredients for the featured healthy recipe are provided to take it home with you to replicate the meal on your own. Healthy refreshments and snacks are provided during each session.

Cocina Saludable es un programa multigeneracional ofrecido simultáneamente en inglés y español en el campus del centro de Phoenix de CSCAZ, impartido por la Educadora de Salud Comunitaria Bilingüe Violet Romero, RD.
Aprenderás sobre los grupos de alimentos, el control de porciones, cómo entender las etiquetas nutricionales, la concientización sobre enfermedades crónicas, la salud mental y más. Junto con esta demostración educativa, se proporcionarán los ingredientes de la receta saludable presentada para que puedas llevarlos a casa y replicar la comida por tu cuenta. Se ofrecerán refrigerios y bocadillos saludables durante cada sesión.

Rooted in a deep love of music, the arts, and the community around us, M3F Fest was founded with the purpose to give back. The idea was simple: two thousand fans, hundreds of lawn chairs, one stage, grandma’s cooking, and 100% of proceeds donated directly to charity. Twenty-two years later, we still operate under the same guiding principles, but we’ve surely grown!
