Forest Bathing, the Japanese practice of shinrin-yoku, is a combination of medication and nature therapy. It recognizes the immense power of nature to heal. The practice of forest bathing reduces stress hormone production, lowers heart rate and blood pressure, and increases feelings of well-being and happiness.
Rise & Recharge at CSCAZ in June starts with a Forest Bathing walk at Buffalo Park (2400 N. Gemini Road, Flagstaff, 86004) just off Cedar on the east side of town. We will meet by the big buffalo just north of the parking lot and start our walk at 9:30 a.m.
Look for our NAU INTERNS in their bright red CSCAZ shirts and join in. After the walk everyone can caravan to the office (914 N. San Francisco Street) for the rest of Rise & Recharge.
Be sure to wear sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, and sturdy walking shoes. Bring plenty of water and walking poles if you use them.
