Event Information
Forest Bathing @ Rise & Recharge in Northern Arizona

April Weather Permitting we will head out into the northern Arizona beauty for a gentle walk in nature to immerse our minds and hearts in healing.

The Japanese practice of shinrin yoku, or Forest Bathing, is good for both physical and mental wellbeing. It is proven to reduce stress hormone production, improve feelings of happiness and free up creativity, as well as lower heart rate and blood pressure, boost the immune system and accelerate recovery from illness. The workshop is designed for cancer patients, survivors, caregivers, family members, and friends. Walking and talking in community with one another while focused on taking in the healing power of nature is a powerful psychosocial healing tool for the mind and heart.

Please wear appropriate weather attire including secure closed-toed shoes, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and consider bringing your hiking poles along.

This workshop will not be offered if there is ice or snow on the ground or the temperature is below 32 degrees at 10 AM.
