Forest Bathing Summer Fieldtrips around Northern Arizona

The Japanese practice of shinrin yoku, or Forest Bathing, is good for both physical and mental wellbeing. It is proven to reduce stress hormone production, improve feelings of happiness and free up creativity, as well as lower heart rate and blood pressure, boost the immune system and accelerate recovery from illness.

This summer, we will be taking interesting field trips to special locations in Northern Arizona.  Pack your lunch and plenty of water and be on time for a 10:30 am departure on the following dates:

  • On Wednesday, August 28 we will depart from CSCAZ at 10:30 am to take a Forest Bathing Fieldtrip to Fort Tuthill.
On Wednesday, September 11 we will depart from CSCAZ at 10:30 am to take a Forest Bathing Fieldtrip to Picture Canyon.
  • On Wednesday, September 25 the group will discover Frances Short Pond.
