Forest Bathing Fieldtrip to Griffith Springs The Japanese practice of shinrin yoku, or Forest Bathing, is good for both physical and mental wellbeing. It is proven to reduce stress hormone production, improve feelings of happiness and free up creativity, as well as lower heart rate and blood pressure, boost the immune system and accelerate recovery from illness. SPECIAL FOREST BATHING FIELDTRIP TODAY, bring your sack lunch, plenty of water, sunscreen, hat, and sturdy walking shoes. Meet at CSCAZ for a prompt 10:30 AM departure. Friends welcome. Let's support one another by introducing a healthy lifestyle choice to our Wednesdays and Thursdays and practice forest bathing by walking together from 12 noon - 1 pm in gorgeous Flagstaff, AZ. We will meet in the parking lot of Cancer Support Community Northern Arizona and walk the beautiful downtown residential area. Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring walking poles, hat, and water. Be sure to apply sunscreen and dress appropriately for the day's weather. You are welcome to bring a friend and leash-trained dogs are always welcome.
