The Expressive Arts program is hitting the road with a field trip to the sublime RoHoEn, the Japanese Friendship Garden of Phoenix, on Wednesday, April 30.
We have 10 passes to this supremely serene setting and will be doing a Japanese-style art activity as part of our trip. The adventure will begin promptly at 10 AM when we gather at CSCAZ's Palm Lane campus and carpool to the garden. We will enjoy a lovely
stroll around the gardens starting at 10:15 AM. Anyone is welcome to join!
The garden is a joint project between the City of Phoenix and its Sister City, Himeji, Japan, to cement the bonds of friendship between the two communities. Its name, RoHoEn comes from the Japanese words for heron (the bird symbol for the city of Himeji),
phoenix, and garden.
With its peaceful paths, stone bridges, gardens, and colorful koi ponds, this promises to be an outing filled with tranquility and inspiration, and a perfect way to enrich the mind, body, and spirit. We hope you'll join us.
Please Email Info@cscaz.org if you would like to be added to the waitlist.
