Expressive Arts Class Location: Main Campus

This 2 hour class focuses on projects that help members explore the changes and challenges they find themselves in through various artistic methods. No experience necessary. Materials provided. Please register for only one class per month.

April:  ZENTANGLE  Zentangle drawing is an abstract method created using repetitive patterns. We will use hollowed out eggs to represent the fragility of our life's experience. Don't worry, plenty of eggs shells will be available.

May:  BATIK  - Batik is a technique of using resist with dye on fabric. Traditionally hot wax is used but we will use glue as the resist. Come with ideas of images that reflect who you are to incorporate into your piece.

June: TELL YOUR STORY THROUGH FOLK ART - Folk Art is typically made by untrained artists utilizing a variety of methods that incorporate things that are happening in their life and important to them. Bold colors, flattened perspective and strong forms in simple arrangements are common.
