Cancer Support Community AZ in partnership with Northern Arizona Healthcare Flagstaff Medical Center will host Frankly Speaking About Cancer: Breast Cancer – a program created for people diagnosed with breast cancer, and their loved ones. The materials educate patients on the types and stages of breast cancer, treatment options and side effects, clinical trials, caregiver support, and the emotional concerns of a breast cancer diagnosis.

Dr. Deborah Lindquist, Medical Oncologist and breast cancer specialist will present this workshop at Flagstaff Medical Center McGee Auditorium, at Flagstaff Medical Center at 11:00 a.m. We will walk across the street from CSCAZ to McGee together, or you are welcome to park in the adjacent parking garage at FMC.  This workshop is also offered simultaneously on the Zoom platform statewide across Arizona at 11:00 a.m.  Be sure to register for the Zoom version to receive the zoom link.

Dr. Lindquist believes in being thorough and providing education and involving her patients in each step along their health care journey. She specializes in hematology and general oncology with a special interest in breast cancer, including clinical research. She has experience working with all types of adult cancers, including prostate; lung; colon, and kidney cancers as well as blood disorders.

Dr. Lindquist earned her medical degree and her bachelor’s degree in medical technology from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine in Omaha, Neb.; and a bachelor’s degree in zoology from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, Neb. She completed her fellowship in hematology and oncology at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa. Dr. Lindquist is board-certified in medical oncology; hematology and internal medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine.
