Join an engaging conversation about the cancer journey and designing an anticancer lifestyle. It is in supportive community where we do our best psychosocial work -- the work of healing the head and the heart during our own or a loved one's cancer journey.
This 8-week group invites cancer patients, survivors, caregivers, and family members to share successes, strategies and challenges as we support one another through building supportive relationships and community. Each session offers 40 minutes of education and 50 minutes of conversation.
Facilitated by CSCAZ Executive Director Dr. Cindy Payne and northern Arizona university interns, participants are invited to share their journey as we learn together how to build healthy anticancer lifestyles.
Our conversations are built around these themes over an 8-week period:
-
1/16: Our Innate Healing Powers
- 1/23: The Foundation is Love & Social Support
- 1/30: Decreasing Stress & Increasing Resilience
- 2/6: The Need for Rest & Recovery
- 2/13: Moving for Wellness
- 2/20: Food as Medicine
- 2/27: The Environment & the Quest for Health
- 3/6: The Synergy of Anticancer Living in Community
Join this innovative education/conversation group to improve your own anticancer living habits. Register here today to join the online zoom conversation, or to meet in person at the northern Arizona CSCAZ campus.
