Event Information
Wednesday Friends & Family Support Group Location: Main Campus

Professionally facilitated weekly support groups are available for individuals with cancer, and separate support groups are also available for family, friends, and caregivers. Learn ways to cope with the stresses of cancer and develop the skills to work with your healthcare provider as a team. A brief interview is required to determine the appropriate group placement. Before completing registration, please call (602) 712-1006 or email info@cscaz.org to schedule an interview.

Our facilitator, Joyce Seeling, has been a licensed master's level social worker in a hospital setting for most of her career. She has extensive experience working with patients and their families in oncology, hematology, bone marrow, and transplant units, and cardiothoracic surgery. Joyce moved to the Valley 16 years ago to be a part of Honor Health's brand-new Palliative Care Team. She became involved in the Cancer Support Community four years ago as a facilitator of the Friends and Family Support Group and the Grief and Loss Support Group.

During our meetings, we share stories, connect, ask questions, learn from one another, complain, and laugh. Our program is designed to provide you with a safe space in which to care for a family member, a friend or a loved one.

SPECIAL NOTE: In response to COVID-19, Cancer Support Community Arizona is shifting this program to be held via Zoom only, which is a virtual/online platform that is FREE and accessible to you via any smartphone, laptop, desktop, or tablet. After completing the brief interview, to access the Zoom link, please register here and login information will be emailed to you. For questions, please contact a member of our staff directly at (602) 712-1006 or info@cscaz.org
