This series focuses on projects that help members explore the changes and challenges they find themselves in through imagery and expression using the soothing medium of clay. No experience necessary. Learn & Support: Multiple Myeloma Time 10:00 AM

Please join this monthly group for a supportive discussion and education regarding living with Multiple Myeloma. Learn about treatment options, side effect management and survivorship. This is a time to share information and experiences and on occasion learn from medical experts. Those supporting a loved one with Multiple Myeloma are also welcome.

Meet our Facilitator: Linda Ruvalcaba, MA, LPC (she/her/ella) is a proud Chicana and Bilingual Psychotherapist from Phoenix, Arizona. She graduated from Arizona State University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and from Northern Arizona University in 2011 with a Master of Arts in Counseling. Linda spent several years working in community mental health before starting her own therapy practice in 2019, Therapy Girl LLC. Linda specializes in trauma, anxiety, grief, and in working with the Latinx community, activists and community leaders.

She graduated from Arizona State University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and from Northern Arizona University in 2011 with a Master of Arts in Counseling. Linda spent several years working in community mental health before starting her own therapy practice in 2019, Therapy Girl LLC. Linda specializes in trauma, anxiety, grief, and in working with the Latinx community, activists and community leaders.

She graduated from Arizona State University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and from Northern Arizona University in 2011 with a Master of Arts in Counseling. Linda spent several years working in community mental health before starting her own therapy practice in 2019, Therapy Girl LLC. Linda specializes in trauma, anxiety, grief, and in working with the Latinx community, activists and community leaders.

                                                    This class is designed to focus on breath work and gentle movement. Learn relaxing postures and modified moves at a slow pace. This class is great for those who are new to yoga as well as those who have restrictions due to treatment.

                                                    Livestrong at the YMCA Downtown Time 10:00 AM Location Phoenix LIVESTRONG™ at the YMCA At Lincoln Family Downtown YMCA, 350 North 1st Avenue Phoenix, AZ 85003 Mondays and Wednesdays, 10:00 – 11:30 am from January 15-April 4 Adult cancer survivors are invited to join this 12-week program to improve quality of life by increasing energy levels and self-esteem, building muscle mass and strength, and increasing flexibility and endurance.                                                     Learn simple strength and balance exercises with appropriate modifications for anyone at any level in this class.

                                                    This support group is open to anyone caring for a loved one with a current or recent cancer diagnosis. In this group, we will provide a safe space to explore what cancer means in your life as a caregiver and in return you will find a community of individuals who will stand with you and who understand your story because they have lived it. The primary focus of this group is to support your emotional and social needs as we strive to be there for one another throughout the challenges of caring for our loved ones who have been impacted by cancer.
